Structure of the GCSE paper- TV UNIT
- whole of the GCSE is 200 marks
- paper 1 is tv& promoting media (70 marks 35%)
- paper 2 will be music & media (70 marks 35%)
- =140 marks
- the remaining 60 marks is course work which i out of 30 % we will be able to make changes from feedback

R- REPRESENTTATION- stereotypes, counter-types, dominant representation, positive, negative,
I- INDUSTRY- tv, film, psb ,regulators ,radio, newspaper, magazines, video games
C- CONTEXT- social, cultural, political historical
PAPER ONE- SECTION A TV UNIT
q1- worth 5 marks = 2 points ( analysis analyse one element of media language from the extract )

- One way sound is used to create meaning is by using non-diegetic sounds. Throughout the extract the background noises are used to intensify the situation. For example while Jake and Ryan are driving to the scene of the crime the music gets darker and more electronic. this is used to create suspense fr the audience. Sound is as used when the sirens are sounding during the chase. This is done to create a sense of panic and boost adrenaline of the audience to make them feel as though they are part of the scene.
